[It was quiet in the area around KH house. Everyone in the house was sound asleep, or at least pretending to sleep. Kairi herself was in that same boat of being asleep when a high pitch scream suddenly awakens her. She bolts up into bed, glancing around her room and out her window. She pauses, reflecting briefly as she tries to think of what could have possibly caused such a sound. Was it a dream? It must have been.

...still. She quietly slips out of her bed, opening her bedroom door and stepping into the hallway. As she makes her rounds, silently checking on each of the boys first, she soon approaches Xion's room.

Of course, the fact that the girl isn't in her room when Kairi opens the door raises a few alarms.

Okay. Okay, don't panic. Kairi was aware that Xion sometimes would leave the house if she felt uncomfortable. That was normal, sure. But this...she couldn't get that scream out of her mind. Another wave of uncertainty crashes over her as she slips on a pair of shoes, grabs her journal and heads for the front door, stepping out of the house and looking toward the road.

It's then that she spots her; her likeness, her friend, covered in injuries, blood and...burns? Not a time to question. She bolts down the porch of the house, throwing herself down and checking the girl for consciousness. She attempts to shift the girl's body, ignoring the blood that was starting to stain her hands in favor of whether Xion held any signs of life. Realizing that the dark-haired girl wasn't responding, she whips out the journal immediately and flips to a new page without thinking.]

Axel! Come on, wake up! I really need your help out here...it's Xion. She's...it's bad. There's so much...it's too much. I know you're not really asleep, I checked. Hurry!

[And while she waits for Axel, she keeps an eye on Xion for any signs of movement, completely oblivious to the fact that she forgot to filter that message to only Axel.]

[And this is another instance where while Kairi appreciates Roxas answering the questions, she's going to take this one herself.]

Jake. [That's all she says for a moment, and it's obvious she's trying to calm down enough to have a coherent conversation.] He got to Xion. It's really bad, everything's torn and bloodied and burned...we had to take her to get help.

his upper lip curls into a nasty snarl and it's all he can do not to fly off the handle and track that filthy wretch down. he'll tear him limb from limb-. no. no. ]

Where are you?

The battle dome. We're at the clinic there.

I'll be right there.

[ and with that, he's shutting the journal and taking off at the speed of an olympic runner. ]

[Go Jacob go. Kairi will be in the clinic with Axel and Xion and Mia who's healing her. It's pretty hard to miss him when he gets there.]

[ and in he goes.

and sweeps kairi into a hug the moment he spots her... he probably can't stay in the room. the sight of xion like that is making him shake and it's hard to crush the urge to transform when someone so close to the people he cares about is so badly injured. ]

[And she will gladly accept that hug thank you, probably gripping a bit tighter than usual.]

You came really fast...were you already out?

Yeah. I was. [ he should have been there. he should have... should have... ] I'm sorry.

It's okay. You couldn't have known. None of us knew...I'm just glad we got her here as soon as we did. Mia's trying to heal her. Aerith's coming to help, too.

I'm going to stay keeping a closer eye on the place. [ patrols around that area of the city, keeping tabs on where people go - at least until he finally gives that monster what he deserves.
