It'll be a year in a few days for me. Christmas, in fact. It's strange to think of it like that.

What happens in the mansion at Christmas?

Different things each year, I think. Arland was talking about Vexen dancing last year and I remember one of my first events was a singing one, so it must have been about that time.

There's all sorts of stuff going on this year I'm sure.

Vexen dancing? That's...really hard to picture, but it's so funny! I think my first experiment here turned me into a rabbit.

I'm so glad I missed seeing that, though. [she giggles anyway.] Ohh, I'd love to be a rabbit!

Because it would have been a bit too disturbing? I know what you mean. [She just laughs and nods] It was actually really fun! Well, except for the part where Axel spent that whole week as a fox and kept chasing me.

Yeah, I'm grateful for that at least. Axel's not as big of a threat as he pretends to be.

I guess not. I haven't really had a chance to find out. He keeps coming and going in Wonderland and won't, or can't, stick around long enough for me to talk to him properly.

...maybe there's a reason for that. Axel's still annoying, just not really vicious. He's relatively harmless when you get to it.

Yeah, especially compared with the rest of them. It could have been worse. I just have to hope Saix doesn't decide to do anything until after the New Year... though I'd prefer not at all.

I hope he doesn't try anything at all either, just for your sake. I'm not sure what kind of damage he can cause there, but it doesn't sound good.

With the way the mansion repairs itself, he can't do more than... well kill me I guess. I wouldn't stay dead, but I'd rather not deal with that all the same. Thanks, though. I'll hope yours continues to ignore you. Never though I'd say that.

...you guys don't stay dead either? Luceti doesn't have much to destroy, but people can die and come back. When they do though, they're always missing a part of themselves. It's strange how it all works.

I've heard there's a limit, but I don't know of anyone who's reached it yet. A part of themselves? Like what? I think all Wonderland takes is a memory, but they're usually important ones.

...Then again, we lose words normally, so I guess everything is important.

We don't have a limit, so I guess it's like a trade-off. Usually if a person comes back from the dead, they lose anything important. I've heard of people losing memories, or losing a sense like taste or sight, or even just losing a weapon. It's a penalty for getting yourself killed, I think.

...how do you lose words though?

I guess so. I think our memory losses are the same thing, but they're... well it's kind of a big deal to suddenly lose something you remember, especially something important.

It's more like... we forget them. I know I've forgotten some... and they're right on the tip of your tongue, but you just can't quite remember what they are. Normally, you'll remember later on, but in Wonderland that never happens. You never remember them.

All of that sounds insane. Why would someone do that to someone else?

I don't know. It's either something the queen can do or something the mansion does... but I think it's the Queen. She's the one who took Namine's power, after all...

There's really no way to beat her?

We haven't found one yet, but I'm not giving up yet. She can't win. We can't let her.
